Engine fitters have experience in work at foreign shipyards as well as on board seagoing vessels. They are familiar with main and auxiliary vessel engines manufactured by for example:

• Burmeister & Wain
• Sulzer
• MAN
• Wärtsilä
• Pielstick
• Caterpillar
• Daihatsu
• MaK

They have knowledge and experience in assembling of new ship engines and engine room equipment as well as in their repair, overhaul and maintenance.
Every mechanic is also familiar with steel and pipe jobs and is certified for hot work: oxy-acetylene cutting and electric tuck welding.

Some of them are also certified for metal-arc welding with covered electrode (SMAW, 111).

Our welders are experienced in welding of pipes and plates and are
certified in following welding methods:

• 111 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• 131 - Metal inert gas welding (MIG welding)
• 136 - Flux-cored wire metal-arc welding with active gas shield
• 141 - Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG)

Some of them are certified for two or more welding methods and as well.

Depending of their welder's certificates they can weld:
carbon steel, chromium-molybdenum steel, fine-grained structural steel, stainless steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys.

They have certificates issued by Det Norske Veritas.

All of them are certified for oxy-acetylene cutting and electric track welding and many of them are also certified welders.

Are certified as welders for method 111 and using welding torch. They can weld cable trays supports and can fit and weld cable penetrations as well.

Have worked at shipyards and on board cruise vessels and ferries during their navigation.

Have worked at shipyards in Norway, Finland and Denmark. Many of them have DSB certificates confirming that they are approved to work in Norway as electrical skilled workers.
